Vasa Museum

(11 Ratings)
World-famous historic attraction
The Vasa is the world's only surviving 17th Century Ship and one of the foremost tourist sights in the world. Discovered in Stockholm's harbor in 1961, the ship was pulled from the water and floated into the museum. There is so much to see, give yourself plenty of time to enjoy!

great museum

Museum is centred on a massive C17th war ship. Great sense of history from this. Loved it!

Outstanding

I can't stop thinking about this museum, it's incredible. A trip to the Vasa Museum is a rare glimpse into a period of history that will leave you day dreaming for years.

Just go there!

After buying a ticket at the entrance, you walk in to a massive, darkly-lit hall.... and then it takes you a few moments to realize that the museum's main exhibit is in fact towering above you. It's breathtaking. I won't spoil the surprise further, but just go and see it! Allow two or three hours - and enjoy the nice self-service restaurant with terrace overlooking the spectacular harbour.
